Lame? There’s an old adage: “There aren’t enough crutches in the world for all the lame excuses. Lame excuses; we all have them and sometimes they seem rational. But, in the end, they are just crutches keeping us from finding solutions to problems.
Think about it. God has no patience for lame excuses. He doesn’t mind those who try and fail; He does mind those who don’t try for fear of failure. “Ida excuses” are no substitute for hard work.
God’s Word tells us: So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ (Matthew 25:24-30).
The fact of the matter is this, when we focus too much on what might go wrong we miss seeing the opportunities that become our blessings when we’re willing to see beyond the problems. Playing it safe and avoiding the risk is all about “me.” Playing it tough and risking the failure, no excuses, is all about trusting God. Anything else is lame and a crutch we just don’t need.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
