A little is sufficient?

A little is sufficient? Our home at Beech Springs is paneled, requiring no painting. However, our previous bungalow had plaster walls needing frequent painting. I recall painting the kitchen a specific green. At the hardware store, a few green pigment drops in white paint created the perfect color. It was amazing how just a few drops transformed the entire can, creating a beautiful, warm hue that Holly loved.

Think about it. With paint just a little can translate into a lot. With faith it’s no different.

God’s Word tells us: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. (Proverbs 13:20).”

What does the Lord want you to do? When we commit our plans to Him and stay the course, we’ll find out. You may be only one person, but, like paint, it only takes a little to do God’s work when He’s involved. John Wesley said, “Give me one hundred men who hate sin and love God, and I will shake the world for Christ!” Your commitment to God's work, even as one individual, can truly shake the world. It only takes one dedicated person.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, guide us to commit our plans to You and stay the course. Use our small efforts to do Your great work. Like John Wesley said, inspire us to love You wholeheartedly, so we may shake the world for Christ. Strengthen our faith and dedication. In Jesus name. Amen.”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
