Fear freeze? We are Jesus Christ’s heirs because it is for you and I that He died. We are his heirs, not through our perfection but by means of His grace. Sometimes God hands us some pretty important things to do in this life and we feel a bit overwhelmed, even afraid.
Think about it. When we are entrusted with important matters, it is easy to feel the pressure of the responsibility. It’s easy as well to fear failure when we’er faced with being a success. Even when others trust us, can we trust ourselves?
God’s Word tells us: “Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day” (-John 1:34).
The next time you are tempted to freeze in the face of a spiritual challenge, remember this: being well-trained is one thing; being forgiven is another. There are no dogs in heaven--just sinners like you and I.
“I pray today in Jesus name that when important things happen in our lives and we feel threatened, help us Lord to overcome our fears and put our trust in You and You alone.” Amen!
