Get a leg up?

Get a leg up? The decade of the ‘80’s has become known as the decade of the leveraged buyout. One company after another went on the trading block in those days as other companies, leveraging their assets, went on a buying spree. Unfortunately, if you worked for a company on the block, you often found yourself out of work. Money was always a concern.

Think about it. The treasures we amass in heaven, while we pursue the way of God, will never be exhausted. They will be waiting for us when we get there. We may or may not experience material success in this life, but those who follow God will.

God’s Word tells us: ““But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.” (Luke 6:24).

Life has meaning and purpose even when things go wrong with jobs and finances. Those are times when we need to focus in on what the real treasures are in life; the heavenly ones. Where is your treasure accumulating? Around you or, above? Get a leg up on riches; be content with a little and find out how rich you will feel with less.

“Heavenly Father, thank You that Christ died for my sins and rose again. Thank You that He identified with my sinfulness so I could identify with His resurrected life. I pray that all the sorrow I am called upon to face, will bring forth the fruit of righteousness. In Jesus name, Amen!

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
