The "Real" Sun King?

The real Sun King! Louis XIV, known as The Sun King stands as one of history's renowned kings. Despite his plain appearance and modest education, he possessed an unwavering self-belief. Coupled with meticulous governance, he aimed not just for competence but for greatness, seeking to be hailed as unparalleled among kings.

Think about it. As hard as Louis tried to corner the market on greatness, he simply couldn’t top God. God’s greatness goes beyond glass palaces and royal courts.

God’s Word tells us: “The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress” (Job 37:23).

God's greatness surpasses all, unlike Louis XIV's striving for power. While Europe knew Louis as the Sun King, God's power transcends human comprehension. He doesn't flaunt Himself as Louis did; His glory overwhelms our senses. Louis feared competition, but God stands unrivaled. Our God is truly awesome!

We pray. “Heavenly Father, Your greatness surpasses all, transcending human understanding. Unlike earthly kings,You don't flaunt Your glory but overwhelm us with it. May we find comfort and strength in knowing that You are truly awesome. Guide us to live in reverence and worship of You always. In Je In Jesus name. Amen."

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
