Ugliness?

Ugliest? History has been a long trail of blood and terror right up to the present time. We live in a whole full of scoundrels, villains, murderers, terrorists and tyrants. Who WAS the ugliest sinner that ever lived? You might be surprised by God’s answer.

Think about it. In all of history there’s been no one more worthy of God’s scorn than His own Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus surpassed all in the Great Hall of Shame when it came to sinfulness. Why? It’s because He became the substitute for the sins of the Hitlers and the Ben Ladens. He bore the sins of all evil men since the time of Cain until you and I.

God’s Word tells us: “If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied” (1 Corinthians 15:12-28).

Our righteousness despite our sin was confirmed eternally. Christ’s willingness to become the ugliest sinner assures us that we shall never find ourselves in sin’s Hall of Shame. Jesus became the worst so we could become the best; that is the great, Easter exchange.

“I pray today in Jesus name giving thanks for our Savior, Jesus Christ, who became our sin for us, so that we would not have to pay the price we owe. Our guilt, His life.” Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
