Who's the Boss?

Who is the Boss? Trying to live the godly life is similar to dealing with those notorious “sleeping dogs.” Things happen when you touch the life issues that lie in your path. They crouch in wait to block your path and may be potentially dangerous? Every day we’re challenged to deal with another crouching dog, sin. It waits for us to get close, as it plans its attack. Perhaps it can block our way and keep us from doing what is right? So, what can we do?

Think about it. We can’t avoid sin, there isn’t a pathway to heaven that won’t be blocked by it somewhere along the way.

God’s Word tells us: “ If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you… (Genesis 4:17).

We need to learn to master sin by understanding this: sin can be made obedient when we remind ourselves that God is the boss and we work for Him. Sin needs to mind us. That works as long as we remember to ask God for His help. God is ready to teach us how. We may have to be pulled along, but in the end, sin will be mastered if we aren’t afraid to try.

“Heavenly Father, Sin is the most formidable foe we face in our life. It stalks us and blocks our way every day,. Forgive us when we give in, protect us when in need. You are the Boss, and we work for You,. In Jesus name, Amen!

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
