Better and better?

Every day are we getting better and better? Or, are we still clinging to a character that reacts to the accidents and misadventures in this life with a crazed look and wild, emotional thrashing about?

Think about it. How about you and I? Every day are we getting better and better? Or, are we still clinging to a character that reacts to the accidents and misadventures in this life with a crazed look and wild, emotional thrashing about?

God’s Word tells us: “If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord” (Romans 14:8).

Life may dump us into a pond of despair from time to time. But, belonging to God means that there is only one way to grow in this life - up. Yesterday's problems become tomorrow's challenges that way. In that sense, in grace, "everyday we ARE getting better and better."

“Heavenly Father, help me not to fear the future but to boldly trust that you are in control when my emotions plunge me down, and when I am in despair. And times when I can't talk and don't know what to say, help me to “Be still, and know that you are God”. In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
