Character counts?

Character endures? How true it is that reputation often takes center stage in life, influenced by the applause or critique of others. Yet, it's character that weaves the narrative of our souls, unseen by the crowd. Our true essence emerges in the quiet moments, defining who we are when the spotlight fades. God wants us to prioritize building a character that withstands the scrutiny of His gaze.

Think about it. Are we more concerned with our reputation in the eyes of others than our character before God?

God’s Word tells us: “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart"  (1 Samuel 16:7).”

May we earnestly endeavor to build a character that resonates with Your standards O Lord, undeterred by our image among those seeking us by reputation. May our conduct radiate the integrity and virtue of our character, recognized solely by You, our Heavenly Father, who sees the depths of our hearts and applies that unto wisdom. Reputation is fleeting; character endures.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, guide us to prioritize character over reputation, honoring You above all else. Grant us the strength and wisdom to uphold our values, even when no one is watching. May our actions reflect Your light in the world that is so often concerned with us. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
