Flowerbeds?

Flowerbeds? It takes work to get us ready for growth in grace; and, sometimes, the results aren’t so immediately visible. But, over time, the work and effort pay off. Like flowerbeds. The flowers bloom and fade and come back again the next year, much more brilliant and bountiful.

Think about it. God promises to “sanctify” us “by the truth” in our daily, walk with Him. That is, He will make us holy, set apart and cleansed through Christ Jesus.

God’s Word tells us: “‘I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.’” (John 17:15-26).

God doesn’t tell us that His work is completed overnight. It’s ongoing like tending a flowerbed. As the faithful gardener He digs, weeds, tills and transplants in the gardens of our hearts; then, when we are known to Him perfectly, we continue to grow in our knowledge of Him. It won’t happen overnight nor should it. Some of the best flowerbeds are those we never finish.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, Thank You that I am chosen, unto you because I am part of the Body of Christ. Thank You that I am being progressively sanctified as I live my life in submission to the Spirit and for Your glory. set apart unto You – for Your praise and glory. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
