Just smile?

Just a smile? I’m convinced that’s what probably one of the things that attracted people to Jesus. With all that love, there just had to be a smile; a source of warmth that a believer just couldn’t afford to resist.

Think about it. People are attracted to warm Christians. Folks loved Jesus, the very person and concept of God, because he was warm. In that sense it’s the love of God, reflected in the image of our smiling Savior, that just stops us in our tracks.

God’s Word tells us: “Jesus straightened up and asked her, ‘Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?’ ‘No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.’” (John 8:10-11).

Nobody ever comes around stoves when the fire’s gone out in them. That’s why Jesus attracted a crowd everywhere He went. Jesus had love in His heart, and love is always warm. Love is always attractive. That’s why people are attracted to warm Christians. God is love because Jesus is warm and His smile will never burn out.

“I pray today in Jesus name that we remain warm and willing to give our love when others give us pause to wonder whether or not they deserve it or in any way merit it.” Amen!

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
