Storing up?

Storing up? Holiness is not the way to Christ. Christ is the way to holiness.” In its core, this message echoes the teachings of love and compassion found in Christian faith. It reminds us that our primary focus should be on nurturing meaningful relationships and connections with others, rather than placing undue importance on the blessings of material possessions.

Think about it. When we prioritize love for our fellow human beings, we cultivate empathy, kindness, and understanding. We recognize the inherent dignity and worth of every individual, regardless of their possessions or social status. To get there Jesus needs to find us and put us on the right path to holiness; the path he took in our place to the cross.

God’s Word tells us: "Do not store up treasures on earth, but treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Prioritize eternal values and relationships over earthly possessions (Matthew 6:19-21).”

Materialism distracts from human connection. Prioritize love over possessions. We can’t reach our heavenly destination by being holy. We get there by having Christ show us the way.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, help us prioritize heavenly treasures over earthly ones. Guide our hearts to value these above all else. Grant us wisdom to love people deeply, using possessions wisely for the greater good.In Jesus name, Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
