Universal Giver?

Universal love? Millennia ago, the greatest Gift-giver of all time created a surprise gift, giving it to you and I; God created the earth and the universe that surrounds it. I think that it’s important to look at creation in terms of gift-giving. God chose to gift us creation, not in need but in love. Talk about generous, or surprising!

Think about it. God didn’t have to create anything. He could have justly been content to dwell in His realm without the universe, the earth or us. In fact, as He is sovereign and perfect, He would have been just to do so. God, in essence, didn’t need anything; as He is self-sufficient.

God’s Word tells us: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1).

All God really cares about is our happiness and our belief that He did it, He makes it go, and every day we’re on this earth we’re excited about being here. He didn’t have to do it, but He did. Nothing more be said because there are no words worthy of His creation beyond “Jesus Christ.”

“Heavenly Father, we praise You for making Yourself the greatest gift-giver of all time, the One who gifted us this beautiful world. Forgive us when we don’t praise you everyday for the gift that does keep on giving. In Jesus name, Amen!

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
